Roots of Hettigoda Hela Wedakama Practices

In the early 1800s, the foundation for Siddhalepa Balm was laid through traditional Ayurveda practices passed down in the Hettigoda family. These time-tested remedies would soon evolve into a household healing brand.

The Birth of Siddhalepa Balm

Dr. Victor Hettigoda deepened his knowledge of Hela Ayurveda under his father in Walpola, developing the secret Siddhalepa formula and travelling across the island to introduce it, laying the foundation of a trusted Sri Lankan brand.

Expanding Reach Across Sri Lanka

Siddhalepa Balm gained national recognition as Dr. Hettigoda brought Hela Ayurvedic remedies to homes throughout the country. By 1989, he was named “Balm King” for his significant contributions to Sri Lankan medicine.
